Die Strecke wurde als Arbeitsbeschaffungsma\u00dfnahme nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg im Auftrag des Hamburger Senats errichtet.<\/p>\n<p>Heute versteht man unter der Marschbahn die Verbindung zwischen Westerland auf Sylt mit Hamburg-Altona. Die Strecke wird durchgehend vom RE 6 bedient und f\u00fchrt durch eine unglaublich abwechslungsreiche Landschaft, die mit der spektakul\u00e4ren Fahrt \u00fcber den Hindenburgdamm beginnt.<\/p>\n<p>Wegen der L\u00e4nge der Strecke bin ich bisher erst an sechs Haltepunkten ausgestiegen, vielleicht kann ich die anderen noch nachholen.
