Ein verschlafener Ort, ein paar armselige H\u00fctten. Kein Ort, den man sich auf einer Ansichtspostkarte vorstellen k\u00f6nnte, aber nur zu typisch f\u00fcr hunderte anderer D\u00f6rfer im Isaan, dem Nordosten Thailands.<br \/> Ein Gebiet, an dem Thailand schon lange chronisch leidet. Ein Gebiet, in dem Natur und zivilisatorische Verwahrlosung gemeinsam den Menschen das Leben schwermachen.<br \/> Dieses kleine Dorf in der N\u00e4he von Roi Et ist mir besonders ans Herz gewachsen: Ban Nong Waeng, so benannt nach dem Dorfweiher, dem Nong Waeng.
