Die Familie interessiert sich nicht so sehr f\u00fcr alte Steine, und so schaue ich mir die Khmer-Bauten Wat Phra Non (Wat mit dem schlafenden Buddha) mit Sema City und drei weitere Prangs. Genau genommen ist nur der Sandsteinbuddha im Wat Phra Non interessant, die anderen Bauten stellen recht wenig dar.<\/p>\n<p>Mein Weg f\u00fchrt mich \u00fcber die N2 bis zum U-Turn Sung Noen, das ich dann durchfahre und dem Wegweiser zum Wat Phra Non folge. Er f\u00fchrt an Sema vorbei. Auch die drei Prasats liegen nicht weit von hier, allerdings auf der anderen Seite von Song Noen.<\/p>\n<p>Der Wat hei\u00dft in Wirklichkeit Wat Tharmachak Semaram und befindet sich im Amphoe Sung Noen. Die Statue des Liegenden Buddha ist aus mehreren Sandsteinbl\u00f6cken geschaffen, ist 13,3 m lang und 2,80 m hoch. Sie ist ca 1200 Jahre alt und wurde somit in der Dvaravati Periode geschaffen. Im Geb\u00e4ude des Wat befindet sich der Dharmacakra, ein aus rotem Sandstein erschaffenes Rad der Lehre, das Wahrzeichen des Buddhismus. Ein fr\u00fcherer Abt des Wat, Luang Pho Jang, wird mit einer Statue geehrt.<\/p>\n<p>Wer Phi Mai oder gar Phanom Rung gesehen hat kann nur entt\u00e4uscht sein. Sema City gar ist nur ein angedeutet angeordnetes Steinfragment, das mangels Masse nicht aufbauf\u00e4hig ist. Also nur interessant f\u00fcr den, der alte Steine mag oder der \u00fcber Korat berichten m\u00f6chte. Ich tue es also f\u00fcr meine Web- Seite.<\/p>\n<p>Die drei alten St\u00e4tten Prasat Non Ku (11. Jahrhundert B.E.), Prasat Mueang Kaek (10. Jahrhundert B.E) und Prasat Mueang Kao (Erbaut 1181-1220 B.e.) liegen nicht weit auseinander im Amphoe Sung Noen. B.E. ist die Buddhistische Zeitrechnung.
